Nile Crocodiles

Hey there. In this information report you will find out a lot about Nile crocodiles. The things you will learn about is what they eat, their predators, where they live and a lot of their characteristics.

Nile crocodiles eat big and small things.

For the small things they eat are fish, water birds, turtles and crabs. And for the big things they eat are buffalos, giraffes and zebras. They catch them by hiding in the reeds then jumping up and catching them to have a nice and tasty meal.

Nile crocs live in all different kinds of places.

Most of them live in Africa and Tasmania but they also live in all countries/continents but Antarctica and Europe. Other than that they live in swamps, rivers and marshes.

Nile crocodiles have many different predators.

The reason humans kill them is for bags, wallets and more. Somehow bigger crocs than them kill them. Also any number of animals kill them too.

Nile crocs have amazing characteristics.

Did you know they have the strongest bite in the world? They have very long jaws and they grow up to 6 meters in length. Like most reptiles nile crocodiles bite but not chew and are cold blooded. All crocodiles (that means nile crocodiles too) have scales. Also nile crocodiles are the biggest reptiles on earth. Surprisingly nile crocodiles look after their eggs very carefully which is very rare for reptiles.

There you go! Now you know much more about the fascinating (but dangerous) nile crocodiles.

Polar Bears

Hi my name is Abigail and this week the class had to do an information report about polar bears if you want to know some interesting information about polar bears here is my writing.

Polar bears are very fascinating. In this information report you will find a lot about them like what they eat, where they live, their dangers and their characteristics. Do you know any already? Well here is some more.

Did you know that polar bears eat huge kinds of creatures. They eat seals by hunting them very quietly by popping up from breathing holes and then jumping up and catching them! They also eat little kinds of whales and different kinds of fish too.

Polar bears live in incredibly cold places. Like the architect and sometimes in the north pole. In some cases there are 80% of polar bears that live in canada. Some live in Russia, USA and more.

A polar bear doesn't really have predators. One of their predetors are the male bear themselves and another one is humans because they might be hunting for polar bears. Polar bears don't have many predators as you just read but luckely they are not instinct  (for now).

Do you know any polar bear caracteristicts? Well a polar bear has a lot. Did you know they have transparent fur? They also have brown skin and they are bigger than humans. They also have fur under their feet that's like they have their own slippers.

Polar bears are interesting animals. They live in places that fit them, they eat big kinds of food and they have amazing characteristics. What would you  do if you met a polar bear?
